Yes, just like there is a law of gravity, there is a law of attraction. There are also Universal Laws that govern how things work. One of the Universal Laws, called Hermetic Laws (mentalism, correspondence, vibration, polarity, rhythm, cause and effect and gender) has to do with thought and the Law of Attraction.

Have you ever noticed how some people seem to have it all together, everything they do is successful, while others just seem to fail, fail, fail, and fail again? Before the movie, The Secret, not too many people knew about the Law of Attraction, so how were they able to be successful when they didn’t even know about how to attract abundance? People like Napoleon Hill, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet all uses these principles by just figuring it out. Napoleon Hill talks about thinking and growing rich. Back in the day, there were only a few people doing it. Now everyone wants to do it. They want to be successful like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, even a fraction of their success would be nice! Believe it or not, how you apply the Law of Attraction will determine how successful you are using it.

The Law of Attraction is based on the Universal Law, which states the universe is mental. It is based on the premise that if you focus your thought on a particular desire, what you want is attracted to you. Most people believe that there is a higher intelligence that created the universe. It could be framed as a mental image that was thought by the universal mind that manifests as reality. Interestingly, in the Brahman and Vedic ancient texts and other esoteric literature, it tells how the Creator dreams everything into existence. There is no time, no space and no distance in the omnipresent mind so time and size are immensely huge, created in an instant.

Everything, including us is part of the dream and we are all part of the mind of the creator, that created the dream. Everything in the dream, works the same way that is was created. With our own perceptions of our mind, we too, can create. We just need to believe we can and that we have the right to create. Since our individual experiences of life are seen by the creator and recorded and since our lives are intertwined with everything everywhere, our mental thought is processing and co-creating the dream, simultaneously with its creation.

Quantum physics and the science of it has actually proved that the further out into space you look the more infinite the universe becomes. Our thoughts influence what is unfolding as part of the dream we call reality every moment of every day. We just don’t realize it. Each of us has our own bubble of reality that we interact with every moment. Picture one of those bubble pipes you had when you were kids. You blow froth with it, bubbles piled on bubbles. Our world is like that. No two people experience the world the same as each other. We each have our own little bubble. Even two people at the same event will experience things slightly different that the person next to them. So how can you consciously create what you want, instead of creating randomly? The answer, of course is to use the Law Of Attraction in a deliberate way.

Because the universe is built on thought, your own thoughts and beliefs shape what will appear in your life. Everything you think, say, do or be affects what will happen in your life.

It’s really hard not to let thoughts influence you, we all know that, especially if I ask you not to think of your favorite ice cream in a cone. What is the first thing you do? You think of your favorite ice cream cone. You can see it in your mind, you know exactly what it looks like, tastes like and even what it feels like as the ice cream touches your lips. You may even create enough desire in your mind that you go looking for the ice cream store.

The Law Of Attraction shows us that our lives are full of desirable and not so desirable events and experiences that come about because of what we have done, said, thought or felt. Any one of those actions can subconsciously be felt by anyone around you and even people on the other side of the world. When George Bush took office he looked amazing. He was in the top 2 percentile for physical fitness. When he left office he looked gray, haggard and worn. All of the people who disliked him, projected their thoughts in his direction. In 8 years, his appearance was transformed dramatically by the thoughts of others. Now those people didn’t say that they were going to alter his appearance. They just expressed their thoughts without regard for what would happen when they thought them.

We release vibrations all the time that are either positive or negative energies by our reaction to radio and television news, interactions with people, work-related events, personal issues and issues around money. Absolutely everything that happens in your life is a result of the thoughts and images that are created in your mind. If your cup is half empty, try re-framing it to be half full. The more positive you frame everything, the more positive things will be in your life. Your life these days is the result of your thoughts in the past.

Get a clear image of what you desire and hold it in your mind. Avoid thinking about what you don’t have in a way that reinforces not having it. For example, if you need more money, don’t dwell on all the bills you can’t pay, envision yourself paying off all your bills and having extra money to buy yourself something special. Avoid complaining about your lack of money or thinking of yourself as poverty-stricken.

Feel what it feels like to have all your bills paid. Feel the sense of accomplishment, feel the relief, feel whatever other emotions come up for you. Emotion is a big part of the Law of Attraction. Energy rides on emotion.

Another major component of the Law Of Attraction is love. See yourself loving yourself no matter what. Whatever your circumstances are, you still love yourself. Get out of your head the self-criticizing talk that is negative and blaming your for everything you do or have done. Turn that talk around, re-framing everything to give yourself more confidence, more good feelings about yourself so you can go forward with a different frame of mind, one that is more loving and accepting.

Remember to create images in your mind that you want, while at the same time influencing your mood in a positive way. Use music, museum visits, plays, concerts, books, whatever it takes to swing your mood away from dark thoughts.

What appears in your life is what you think about and talk about with the people around you. They are attracted to you by your vibration. Your vibration determines circumstances in your life. With a vibration of gratitude for all the beautiful things in this world, you will enjoy more and want more that makes your heart sing. Think about it. It may just turn into your next success. After all, dreams really can come true.

Most people, when they learn of the Law of Attraction, are willing to at least give it a try. Many folks worry that it is going to be a complicated process, but nothing could be further from the truth – the Law of Attraction is actually very simple to use. The basics of the Law lie in three easy steps which are the foundation for the whole theory of the Law of Attraction. Whether we realize it or not, the Law is always working, just as the law of gravity causes things we drop to fall to the floor. Mastering these three steps will help you to harness the power of the Law of Attraction and use it to change your life.

Step one: know what you desire and ask for it (state your intention)
Knowing what you want isn’t as easy as it sounds. Aside from the basic physical needs, your mind is filled with wants, desires and fears. You need to know exactly what you want- for instance, if you want more money, how much do you want exactly? Do you want a lump sum or would you rather earn a certain amount each year? If you want to lose weight, do you want to lose 20 lbs or 50 lbs? If you want a new car, what make and model do you want? What color must it be? Write down exactly what you want in as much detail as you can, preferably as though you already have it – this is known as stating your intention.

Step two: believe that what you desire is already yours
Visualizing yourself having already achieved your desire is an important step; it’s the “positive thinking” step. Focusing on having it and getting into the feeling place of having it will create positive energy. The more clearly you can visualize yourself having it, and the better you feel about it, the more powerful your thought energies will be. The attainment of your desires is a direct result of this positive thought energy.

Step three: receive
This step is the one where so many people lose it. It’s the completion of your desire. Allow yourself to acknowledge your right to have your wishes fulfilled. For many, accepting this is the hardest part. If you consciously or unconsciously feel you don’t deserve what you’re asking for, you won’t get it. If you don’t believe you’re worthy of having your desires come true, they never will. If you start to doubt that the Law of Attraction works, you will push your desires away. Keep trusting that the universe will deliver, and that your desires are on their way to you. Try to keep your outlook positive at all times.

These steps may appear fairly simple, but they form a powerful process that can completely change your whole life. If you are struggling with any of the steps, persevere and practice- it will become easier over time.
