postheadericon The Purpose of Studying Kabbalah

Michael Laitman asked:

The wisdom of Kabbalah (the wisdom of reception) first appeared about 5,000 years ago, when humans began to ask about the purpose of their existence. Those who knew it were called “Kabbalists,” and had the answer to life’s purpose and to the role of humanity in the universe.

But in those days, the desires of most people were too small to strive for this knowledge. So when Kabbalists saw that humanity did not need their wisdom, they hid it and secretly prepared it for a time when everyone would be ready for it. In the meantime, humanity cultivated other channels such as religion and science.

Today, when growing numbers of people are convinced that religion and science do not provide the answers to life’s deepest questions, they are beginning to look elsewhere for answers. This is the time that Kabbalah has been waiting for, and this is why it is appearing now- to provide the answer to the purpose of existence.

Kabbalah tells us that Nature, which is synonymous with the Creator, is whole, altruistic, and united. It tells us that we must not only understand Nature, but we must also want to implement this manner of existence within ourselves.

Kabbalah also tells us that by so doing we will not only equalize with Nature, we will understand the Thought that stands behind it-the Thought of Creation. Finally, Kabbalah states that by understanding the Thought of Creation, we will become equal to it, and that this is the purpose of Creation-to equalize with the Creator.

Barbara Dixon asked:

This may not be exactly what you want to hear but, “Everyone automatically attracts to himself what he is, and we may set it down that wherever we are, however intolerable the situation may be, we are just where we belong.” (Science of Mind Textbook, Holmes)

No one can escape the working of the law of attraction but you are not a victim of the law. To the extent that you realize that it is always working, you can use the law to your advantage.

Your mind is the sum total of your thoughts, your beliefs, and your experiences. Knowing this, you can now begin to consciously choose your thoughts, choose your beliefs, and thus determine the experiences that you have in your life. The consciousness that you have today created your life thus far and by thinking new thoughts, you will attract new experiences.

Attraction starts with interest. Paying special attention to some object or thing. Interest is tending to see in the outer world what is already existent in one’s mind. Things you think of that give you joy, pleasure, wisdom, and satisfaction are your interests. As are things that seem to cause you pain, fear, and worry. They attract your attention. The law of attraction is really not about drawing things into your life. It is about what your attention is drawn to. Your attention will be drawn by what you feel strongly about either by desire, fear, or beliefs. The law of attraction works whether you are conscious of it or not. Being conscious of the law allows you to be more powerfully attracted to what you truly want. It’s about having laser attention directed to what you desire.

Many times when circumstances surface in your life that you do not desire you start to complain, blame, and worry. All this does is create more of the same; you are attracted to more of what you don’t want because that is where your attention is. Now, here’s the cool part, when circumstances appear that are undesirable, it’s over! Unless, of course, you re-create more of it by your thoughts, words, and actions: in that moment, NOW. The good news is that an effect of ignorance is over. When the effect shows, the cycle of cause and effect is complete. With the appearance of an effect that is not to your liking, don’t complain, that only creates more of it. It is the time for “now faith.” “Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrew11:1)

If you can see it, feel it, taste it, touch it, it is an effect, complete. What you cause by now faith, is what will be evidenced in the future. If you would just take a look at the undesired effect and acknowledge that this is not what you desire, but begin to think about, talk about, and visualize what you do desire, something new is set into motion.

I understand that it is not easy to switch gears, but, you must, if you want to create a better future for yourself. Be determined to have your life out-pictured the way you want it. Most of what you have created up until now has been unconscious and thus created by default. You are a powerful creator, let go of your mundane attitudes about life. Think the thoughts that you choose to think! Speak your word with power! Visualize the life that you truly desire! It’s all up to you.
